Calling all Valley dudes. Just because you have an athletic build, doesn’t mean you have to throw on a tattoo-inspired, jewel-encrusted shrunken T-shirt and matching Ed Hardy jeans with bedazzled back pockets. Introducing Alley Collection, a Bay Area menswear line specializing in dressing bigger builds with a little less glitz and a little more, dare we say, taste. Catch a preview of the line’s Spring/Summer 2010 collection at a free event this Thursday, June 24, at the W Scottsdale.
Alley Collection’s ‘San Francisco’ line, which debuted in 2009, is designed for guys who want to go from the office to the bar, without sacrificing style in between. Look for a series of tailored jackets, shirts and shorts, all designed with a linebacker’s proportions in mind.
The event begins at 9 pm with a fashion show later in the night.

The world can't seem to get enough of Alley Collection's rise to prominence: the love story that dates back to grade school, the fact that Alley clothing addresses a challenge met by muscular men who can't find clothes that fit, the namesake of the brand - head couple's rottweiler (Alley).
The Denim Guy just picked up on the scoop, and they love Alley for the same reasons we do:
Combining John’s background as a Bay Area Firefighter with Laura’s upbringing around the family farm, a rough element of canvas and duck were transformed into stylish outerwear while soft twill was made into edgy fitted dress shirts. Alley Collection has filled a major gap by providing urban workwear tailored specifically for the athletic male.
Men around the world are thankful for Alley's non-boring, non-stuffy clothing. The Alley male is an approachable male, and it's about time someone did something good for the nice guy.
San Francisco Designers and Partners: Laura Patnaude and John Robblee
Since John was young, he has had the ability to design clothes in his head. His fashion forward style and cute boyhood dimples caught Laura’s eye in the sixth grade which led to them becoming middle school sweethearts. Little did they know what lay ahead.
Fifteen years later, they reconnected and have been inseparable ever since.
While discovering that each had a love for fashion, John still had not put his designs on paper. His frequent critique of shirts and lack of clothing options for an athletic physique led to Laura’s suggestion for John to finally sketch out what he would do differently. A few hours later, the ALLEYCollection was borne.
